WASHINGTON C.H. — Not so long ago, Shaylee McDonald scored her 1,000th career point. Then, she helped her Panthers win a Frontier Athletic Conference title.
Now, she’s the league’s Player of the Year — an award that happened to be announced on the same day Miami Trace won a Division II sectional title.
For McDonald, obviously, good things come in bunches.
Behind McDonald, the Panthers finished 8-2 in the FAC before ending the regular season at 16-6 overall.
Joining McDonald with first-team all-league honors are teammates Magarah Bloom and Delaney Eakins.
McClain also had three players earn all-conference honors after sharing the league title with Miami Trace at 8-2.
The Tigers’ trio of Kyla Burchett, Emma Stegbauer and Brianna Weller were included on the list, and deservingly so.
Washington, Jackson and Chillicothe each had one all-league honoree. The Blue Lions were represented by Shawna Conger, the Ironladies were represented by Katelyn Webb and the Cavaliers are represented by Julia Hall.
