PROCTORVILLE — With a district title already in hand, Fairland’s Brycen Hunt is adding to his trophy case.
The Dragons’ senior ace has been named the Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year after leading his teammates to 14 victories and an impressive tourney run.
Meanwhile, Portsmouth coach Aaron Duncan has been tabbed as the OVC Coach of the Year. Duncan led his Trojans to a 12-2 mark in the league and an Elite 8 appearance.
Joining Hunt with first-team all-league honors are teammates Ethan Wall, Alex Morgan and Blaze Perry.
Also earning first-team honors are Trevin Brooks, JT Williams, Jacob Roth and Deandre Berry, Ironton’s Chaydan Kerns, Brady Moatz and Jon Wylie, Gallia Academy’s Cole Hines and Connor Roe, South Point’s Brayden Hanshaw and Kolton Layman, Rock Hill’s Dawson Lewis and Jayson McFann, Coal Grove’s Caden Turner and Chesapeake’s Johnathan Brammer.
Honorable mention honorees include Portsmouth’s Zach Roth and Colin Perry, Ironton’s Connor Kleinman and Tommy Sheridan, Fairland’s Carson Sansom and Ben Southard, Gallia Academy’s Beckett Camden and Tylar Young, South Point’s Corey Otzenberger and Joey Lobaldo, Rock Hill’s Dylan Griffith and Brady Cremeans, Coal Grove’s Devin Bloomfield and Derik Bloomfield, and Chesapeake’s Braxton Oldaker and Peyton Muncy.
