HILLSBORO — The Frontier Athletic Conference released its all-conference softball list on Thursday and who headlined the list was no surprise.
Hillsboro’s Camryn Spruell, who has been nothing but dominant all season long, was named as the FAC Player of the Year. Spruell, a junior pitcher and a Ball State University commit, led her Indians to a 10-0 finish in league play.
The honor is Spruell’s second consecutive POY nod.
Spruell is hitting .493 with 11 home runs and 40 RBIs. Those numbers go along with six doubles and 32 runs scored. In the circle, she tossed 140 1/3 innings and sports an 18-2 record. She’s struck out 323 hitters with a 0.65 ERA.
Joining Spruell on the all-league list is teammate Mylea Fridley, Jackson’s Lillie Eberts, Serenity Taylor and KJ Worsham, Chillicothe’s CJ Rittinger and Morgan Webb, Miami Trace’s Ella McCarty, McClain’s Leah Lovett and Olivia Stegbauer, and Washington’s Addison Knisley.
