Playing at Terre Haute (Ind.) on Friday and at Dupage (Ill.) on Saturday and Sunday, the Paints fell to the REX by a 7-6 score before falling to the Pistol Shrimp, 9-8, and beating Dupage 7-6 in 10 innings.

In that contest, Cole Andrews (Miami) was 3-for-5 with a run and an RBI while Trey Smith (University of Indianapolis) and Colin Shepherd (Miami) both homered. Austin Calopietro (Toledo) took the loss on the hill, throwing 1 1/3 innings and surrendering two earned runs on three hits.
In Chillicothe’s 7-6 loss on Saturday, the Paints had an 8-5 lead heading into the bottom of the ninth. However, the Pistol Shrimp scored four times in the bottom of the ninth to win.

The Paints’ final game this weekend had a much better result.
In a 7-6 win over the Pistol Shrimp (5-6) in 10 innings, Shepherd scored the eventual winning run on a wild pitch after he reached base with a double to begin the inning.
In that contest, Andrews was 2-for-5 with a run and two RBIs, Joe Laudont (Grand Valley State) went 1-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, and Chris Eisel (Indiana University of Pennsylvania) finished 1-for-2 with his first home run of the summer. Calopietro picked up the win in relief.
