Northwest’s Kloe Montgomery wins The UPS Store’s SOC Athlete of the Week award

Montgomery helped Northwest win games over Minford and Oak Hill, and tallied 22 rebounds against the Falcons.

McDERMOTT — Kloe Montgomery cleans the glass like Windex. It’s really just that simple.

Mongtomery had quite the week last week, collecting a ton of rebounds and helping Northwest beat Minford and Oak Hill. In the win over the Falcons, Montgomery tallied 22 rebounds, a career high.

The Mohawks sit at 9-3 overall and 7-2 in the Southern Ohio Conference.

For her efforts, Montgomery is SOSA’s 30th overall SOC Athlete of the Week, presented by The UPS Store.

Out of 3,411 total votes, Montgomery won 1,665 or 48.8 percent. Ironton St. Joe’s J.C. Damron was second in the voting with 1,463, Waverly’s Zoiee Smith was third with a count of 146, and Wheelersburg’s Eli Swords was fourth at 137.

Montgomery received two of the four votes from the guys at SOSA to win the award.

For her efforts, Montgomery will receive a free t-shirt from The UPS Store, as well as meal coupons from the Schmidt Family Restaurant Group.
