PORTSMOUTH — The Southern Ohio Conference has released its all-league girls basketball honors and a trio of familiar names headline the lists.
Green’s Abbie Knapp, South Gallia’s Emma Clary and Minford’s Lindsee Williams have been named the SOC I, II and III Players of the Year, respectively, and each have impressive resumes.
Knapp had a magnificent year, leading her Bobcats to their first district championship since 1993 while posting 26.8 points, 13.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 2.4 steals and 3.2 blocks per night.
Clary led her Rebels to a conference title and a district final appearance and a 19-win season that included a 10-0 mark in league play.
Williams, who scored her 1,000th career point this season, led her Falcons to 20 wins and a regional final appearance — the program’s first.
