CHILLICOTHE — The Scioto Valley Conference released its all-league soccer teams on Thursday and a pair of prolific goal scorers headlined the lists.
Unioto’s Aidyn Danison and Zane Trace’s Ivan Chavez have earned SVC Player of the Year honors — the second consecutive honor for each.
Danison led her Shermans to yet another conference title alongside nine wins while leading the team in scoring. Chavez also led his team in scoring, and helped the Pioneers win 12 contests.
Zane Trace’s Sophia Blesedell and Judah Hanks also picked up hardware, earning the league’s Goalie of the Year honors.
Coach of the Year honors were earned by Zane Trace’s Jay Scott and Zane Trace’s Katie Lawrence.
Joining Danison with first-team all-SVC honors are teammates Reghan Bee, Cailyn Bash, Elliana Meyers, Sophie Hanes and Addison Stanger, Zane Trace’s Aubree Thomas, Hannah Karwatske, Kelsie Haubeil and Carlie Clark, Westfall’s Claire Abrigg, Olivia Dick and Carly Atwood, Piketon’s Abigail Acord and Southeastern’s Gabbi Flowers.
The honorable mention list includes the following names: Unioto’s Adeline Lloyd and Abbie Proctor, Zane Trace’s Mariska Wax and Sophia Blesedell, Westfall’s Lydia Colahan and Kylie Evans, Southeastern’s Karlie Peters and Willow Timmons, and Piketon’s Jeweliana Leslie and Breenlee Harris.
As for the boys, Chavez and Hanks were joined by teammates Gavyn Allen, Landon Robinson, Chase Skaggs and Preston Lane on the first-team list alongside Unioto’s Liam Mathey, Luke Mautz, Bryce Derringer and Isaac Ridder, Westfall’s Nate Wolfe, Jared Thomas and Evan Fritz, and Piketon’s Daniel Mathews.
Earning honorable mention honors is Zane Trace’s Aiden Gigley and Jayden Higgins, Unioto’s Zack Wallace and Elliott Allsop, Westfall’s Gabe Cox and Emory Dumm and Piketon’s duo of Landon Beekman and David Hayslip.
