Chillicothe’s Dunfee, Archer named FAC POYs, all-league soccer teams released

CHILLICOTHE — Thanks to their dynamic play on the pitch, two prolific scorers have earned hardware.

Chillicothe’s Carter Dunfee and Kiera Archer have been named the FAC’s boys and girls soccer Players of the Year, and their statistics tell the story why.

Dunfee has led the Cavaliers to a 14-3 overall mark with an 8-0 record inside FAC play. During that stretch, Dunfee has scored a team-high 33 goals and passed out 13 assists.

Meanwhile, Archer’s 43 goals and nine assists — which included her 100th career goal — have paced Chillicothe to a 10-4-2 mark alongside an FAC championship with a 8-1-1 mark.

Dunfee was joined on the first-team list by teammates Isaac Herlihy, Landon Mautz and Mason Brown, Hillsboro’s Wesley Bailey, Tate Davis and Ryan Howland, Jackson’s Thatcher Brown, Grady Massie, Drew Neff and Landon Proffit, McClain’s Creed Davis and Miami Trace’s Landon Burns.

The honorable mention list includes Chillicothe’s Gabe Ramsey, McClain’s Gustavo Simas, and Miami Trace’s Ian Mavis and Andrew Trout.

On the girls side, along with Archer on the first-team list, is Chillicothe’s Alex Erslan and Addy Mendel, Jackson’s Sydney Carpenter and Braelyn Brennan, Hillsboro’s Kobie Miles, Mary Dietrick and Ella Jordan, Miami Trace’s Hailey Webster, Karleigh Cooper and Isabelle DeBruin, McClain’s Paisley Pryor and Bailey Parson, and Washington’s Calee Ellars.

The honorable mention list includes McClain’s Becca Bergstrom, Larah Henson and Kenzie Wise, Jackson’s Kollier Fulton and Jaylynn Montgomery, and Chillicothe’s Ella Strauch.
