COLUMBUS — The Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association released its All-Ohio baseball lists on Saturday and a number of players from SOSA’s coverage area earned their spots.
Leading the area’s honorees are Jackson’s Gaven Jones and Miami Trace’s Cooper Enochs in Division II, Huntington’s D.J. Crocker, Portsmouth’s J.T. Williams and Eastern Brown’s Wyatt Haupt in Division III, and both Whiteoak’s Eli Roberts and Ironton St. Joe’s Evan Balstera in Division IV — all of whom earned first-team honors.
On the mound, Jones was untouchable as he went 9-0 with a 0.45 ERA in 52 1/3 innings of work while striking out 92 batters. He allowed just three earned runs, leading the Ironmen to an FAC title and a district final appearance.
Enochs, on the other hand, did damage at the dish by batting .527 with two home runs, eight doubles, 24 runs scored and 25 RBIs, leading the Panthers to a district final appearance.
In Division III, Crocker finished the season batting .514 with three home runs, eight doubles, 30 runs scored and 34 RBIs, guiding the Huntsmen to a school-record 20 wins.
Williams took his game to another level and batted .476 with two doubles, 19 RBIs, scored 31 times and stole 29 bases, helping the Trojans win their first district championship since 1996, alongside a regional final appearance.
Haupt, meanwhile, has been the heart and soul for the Warriors, and saved his best season for last. He hit .540 with five home runs, 10 doubles, 29 runs and 39 RBIs. He also went 10-0 on the mound with a 0.71 ERA in 49 innings of work, striking out 85 hitters.
On the Division IV side, Roberts shouldered a major load for the Wildcats, and routinely delivered, batting .347 with a pair of home runs, five doubles, 21 runs and 22 RBIs.
Balstera was the driving force behind the Flyers’ district final appearance, hitting .444 with two home runs, four triples, 10 doubles, 41 RBIs and scoring 44 runs.

In Division II, Unioto’s Dylan Grubbs made the second-team list while Miami Trace’s Gaige Stuckey and Waverly’s Jase Hurd earned honorable mention accolades.
Grubbs hit .430 with a home run, eight doubles, 21 runs and 25 RBIs for the 21-win Shermans. Stuckey went 5-2 on the mound for the 16-win Panthers, carrying a 2.12 ERA in 36 2/3 innings, striking out 65 batters. Meanwhile, Hurd finished with a .333 batting average to go alongside 14 doubles, 23 RBIs and 30 runs scored, lifting the Tigers to their first district title since 2016.
In Division III, Wheelersburg’s Caden Conn and Minford’s Carson Cronin carved out spots on the second-team All-Ohio list while Minford’s Grant Wheeler and Zane Trace’s Josh Young were honorable mention selections.
Conn led the Pirates to an SOC III title and a district final appearance with his performance on the mound, going 7-0 with a 1.51 ERA in 60 innings while striking out 59 batters.
Cronin did his damage from the dish, batting .435 with four doubles, 11 RBIs, 25 runs and 29 stolen bases, leading his Falcons to 22 wins, as well as sectional, district and regional championships.
Cronin’s teammate, Wheeler, carries a .366 batting average alongside two home runs, three doubles, 21 runs scored and 23 RBIs. Young led the Pioneers to an SVC championship, going 10-2 on the hill and striking out 62 batters while also hitting .404 with 11 doubles, 21 runs scored and 29 RBIs.
In Division IV, Fairfield’s Gabe Fouch and Cade Miller made the honorable mention list after leading the Lions to their first district title since 2002 as well as a regional final appearance.
Fouch finished 5-2 on the mound, hoisting a 0.48 ERA in 46 innings and striking out 80 batters. Miller, on the other hand, went 6-1 on the bump with a 0.71 ERA in 49 innings, fanning 75 batters. He also batted .471 with a home run, eight doubles, 19 RBIs and 24 runs scored.
