WAVERLY — The Southeast District Baseball Coaches Association has released its all-district lists, which include many names fans have become familiar with this spring.
Here’s a brief look at all of the all-district honorees from SOSA’s coverage area — the SVC, SOC, FAC, OVC, SHAC and MSL-Buckeye, as well as Vinton County, Wellston, Athens, Nelsonville-York and Logan.
DIVISION I & II
Headlining the North’s first-team selections are Miami Trace’s Cooper Enochs and Brady Armstrong, Fairfield Union’s Jacob Forson, Washington’s Evan Lynch and Will Miller and Circleville’s Kaiden Bigley.
Second-team selections in the North include Miami Trace’s Gaige Stuckey, Washington’s John Wall, Logan’s Chris Gompf, Circleville’s Austin Gray, and Fairfield Union’s Garrett Dilcher.
The South’s first-team selections are Athens’ Easton Nuzum, Chillicothe’s Mason Brown, Jackson’s Gaven Jones, Ryan Seimetz and Noah Ernst, Unioto’s Ashton Crace and Dylan Grubb, Waverly’s LT Jordan and Hunter Hauck, Gallia Academy’s Cole Hines, and Piketon’s Garrett Legg.
That group is joined by the following second-team all-district selections: Hillsboro’s Walker Pence, Vinton County’s Brayden West, Jackson’s Nolan Johnson and Boston Campbell, Unioto’s Keegan Snyder and Maverick Frump, McClain’s Kaden Penwell, Waverly’s Creed Smith, Athens’ Dawson Kennedy, Piketon’s Ashton Cormany, and Gallia Academy’s Conner Roe.
Honorable mention honorees in Divisions I & II are Unioto’s Landyn Patterson, Jackson’s Ramey Wyant and Athens’ Noah Sincoff.
Finally, special mention recipients are Circleville’s JD Reuter and Ty Foster, Fairfield Union’s Aiden McCafferty and Kyle Wolfe, Washington’s Bryce Yeazel, Logan’s Lucas Wolfe and Leiland Everett, Miami Trace’s Austin Boedeker and Justin Robinson, Logan Elm’s Kyle Rine, Carson Summers and Colton Eplin, Unioto’s Owen Link and Newton Hoops, Piketon’s Malik Diack, Vinton County’s Parker Shonborn and Owen Hire, Waverly’s Jase Hurd, Quinton Hurd and Ben Nichols, McClain’s Andrew Potts, Jayden Allison and Seth Weller, Gallia Academy’s Matthew Liberati and Ian Conley, Chillicothe’s Coen Butler and Ayden Hutchinson, Hillsboro’s Ashton Clemons, Athens’ Sam Trainer and Wylie Anderson, and Jackson’s Cade Wolford and Zander Ervin.
New Lexington’s Dan Morgan and Jackson’s Josh McGraw have been named the District Coaches of the Year.
DIVISION III
In Division III, in the East, Minford’s Grant Wheeler and Cam Thacker, Wellston’s Logan Martin, Fairland’s Brycen Hunt, Oak Hill’s Eddie Abele, Ironton’s Jon Wylie, Southeastern’s Carson McWhorter, Coal Grove’s Caden Turner, Rock Hill’s Dawson Lewis, South Point’s Kolton Layman and Brayden Hanshaw, and Chesapeake’s Johnathan Brammer are all first-team honorees.
Minford’s Carson Cronin and JD Matiz, Fairland’s Ethan Wall, Ironton’s Chayden Kerns and Brady Moatz, Rock Hill’s Jayson McFann, Chesapeake’s Braxton Oldaker, South Point’s Corey Otzenberger and Joey Lobaldo, and Wellston’s Will Briggs have all earned second-team all-district nods in the East.
Over in the West, Zane Trace’s Josh Young and Blake Phillips, Lynchburg-Clay’s Cole Wells, Portsmouth’s Trevin Brooks and JT Williams, Eastern Brown’s Wyatt Haupt and Wylee Sawyers, Huntington’s DJ Crocker and Braylon Leach, Wheelersburg’s Caden Conn, Jake Darling and Connor Estep, West’s Trevor Fike, North Adams’ Easton Daulton, and Valley’s Carson Powell and Jace Copley are all first-team honorees.
Second-team recipients are Peebles’ Gage Grooms, Adena’s Austin Magill, Huntington’s Andrew Oyer, Zane Trace’s Dillon Hoover and Landen Jarrell, Lynchburg-Clay’s Braedon West, Portsmouth’s Jacob Roth, Eastern Brown’s Carter Vaughn, Wheelersburg’s Rowdy Watkins, West’s Isaak Tipton, and Valley’s Tate Queen and Gabe McNeil.
Southeastern’s Joey Pfeifer, Wellston’s Rylan Long, Fairland’s Alex Morgan, Huntington’s Brayden Elliott, and Portsmouth’s Deandre Berry are all honorable mention selections.

DIVISION IV
On first-team East in Division IV is Ironton St. Joe’s Evan Balestra, South Webster’s Hunter Barnard, Symmes Valley’s Will Jones and South Gallia’s Jahvin Davis.
South Webster’s Beninah Andrews and Brycin McClintic, Nelsonville-York’s Landen Inman, Symmes Valley’s Tanner Corn and Ironton St. Joe’s Landon Rowe earned second-team honors.
The special mention list is highlighted by Symmes Valley’s Luke Niece and Mason Stevenson, Ironton St. Joe’s Brady Medinger and Darryn Harvey, South Gallia’s Tanner Boothe and Ayden Conwell and Nelsonville-York’s Gavin Richards.
The West side of the list is headlined by Fairfield’s Gabe Fouch, Cade Miller and Zane Matthews, Whiteoak’s Eli Roberts and Zander Roades, Green’s Nathaniel Brannigan and Johnathan Knapp, Notre Dame’s Luke Cassidy, Paint Valley’s Preston Fauber, Eastern’s Cade Leist and Manchester’s Luke Applegate.
On the second-team is Whiteoak’s Kaden Moon-Stone and Izayah Clift, Paint Valley’s Carson Free and John Free, Notre Dame’s Ethan Kingery, Eastern’s Dylan Morton, East’s Dustin Bailey, Clay’s Brandon Malone, Manchester’s Thomas Barnhart and Fairfield’s Cody Frost.
The honorable mention list features Western’s Mike Bennett, Manchester’s Drew Kennedy, Fairfield’s Corbin Kennedy and Eastern’s Christian Smith.
Special mention honors were received by Green’s Ace Thompson and Braxton Conschafsky, Western’s Jayden Jones and Luke Smith, Eastern’s Braylon Lamerson and Nate Havens, East’s Cameron Justice and Chris Escumilla, Clay’s Carson Holschun, Paint Valley’s Gavin Kingery, Fairfield’s Wyatt Willey and Whiteoak’s Dakota Clift.
The Division IV District Coaches of the Year are Fairfield’s Kyle Zimmerman and Reedsville Eastern’s Chris Stewart.
