CHILLICOTHE — It hasn’t mattered where Jozy Lougheed lines up this season. She’s been an undeniable game changer at any spot on the court.
Southeastern’s junior do-it-all star has paced her Panthers to a 17-4 mark overall and a No. 4 seed in the Southeast District tournament. Alongside those numbers are her 358 kills — a league high — 36 aces, 263 digs and 161 assists.
Anywhere. Anytime. Lougheed gets it done.
On Wednesday, Lougheed’s body of work was rewarded as she was named the Scioto Valley Conference’s Player of the Year.
On the opposite side of the net, Unioto’s Morgan Daniels has earned the SVC’s Defensive Player of the Year honor. Daniels was magnificent in every sense of the word, leading a league championship defense with 474 digs and 20.6 per match.
She also assisted her teammates at the service line, amassing a team-high 56 aces. Those numbers have helped the team go 21-2 overall.
