Ream led the league in scoring with 21.1 points per night and hit a league-leading 49 triples while helping the Pioneers go 18-3 overall and 14-0 in conference play.

The POY honor wasn’t the only hardware handed out in Kinnikinnick, either.

Zane Trace coach Gary Kellough was named the league’s Coach of the Year for the second consecutive season. The COY award is Kellough’s ninth of his career.

Joining Ream with first-team honors is teammate Nalin Robinson as well as Paint Valley’s Dax Estep, Westfall’s Casey Cline and Adena’s Joedy Ater.

Robinson was instrumental in the Pioneers’ Gold Ball journey with 12.9 points and 9.1 rebounds per game, Estep led the Bearcats to a second place finish in the league, averaging a double-double of 18.6 points and 12.7 rebounds, Cline poured in 16 points per night for the Mustangs and Ater led the Warriors in scoring with 15.9 points each evening.

Unioto sophomores KB Perkins and Blake Hoops, Westfall junior Brody Clark, Paint Valley’s senior Cole Miller and Piketon junior Brent McGuire make up the five second-team all-SVC selections.

Earning third-team all-league honors were Huntington’s Dalton Black, Southeastern’s Connor Smith, Adena’s Davis Kerns, Paint Valley’s Braylon Robertson and Zane Trace’s Kyle Stonerock.

Honorable mention selections were as follows: Adena’s Bryson Smith and Caleb Osborne, Huntington’s Caiden Stewart and Ryan Porter, Paint Valley’s Cavan Cooper and Todd Fairrow, Piketon’s Garrett Legg and Declan Davis, Southeastern’s RJ Cartwright and Lane Williams, Unioto’s Blake Fitch and Zeke Schobelock, Westfall’s Blaec Bugher and Seth Gifford, and Zane Trace’s Landon Robinson and Brock Jarrell.
