COLUMBUS — A trio of top-tier soccer names in SOSA’s coverage area have earned their place among the state’s best while the OSSCA has released its All-Ohio honors.
Unioto’s Lucas Hanes, Wheelersburg’s Max Hagans, Fairfield Union’s Isabella Neal and Lynchburg-Clay’s Kalyn Rich have all earned first-team All-Ohio nods.
Hanes, in Division II, led his Shermans to a 17-2 mark while scoring 43 goals and passing out 22 assists. Hagans, in Division III, helped his Pirates win 17 games and scored 47 goals alongside 19 assists.
Neal, also in Division II, led her Falcons to a district title while pitching 12 shutouts in goal and Rich scored 35 goals while spearheading her Mustangs on a regional championship run.
There were multiple other area names that graced the All-Ohio lists, including Chillicothe’s Kaiden Koch. Koch, a Division I second-team all-state selection and a junior, led his Cavaliers to yet another FAC championship.
In Division II, Gallia Academy’s Keagen Daniels, Athens’ Brady Jaunarajas and Bloom-Carroll’s Collin Laveck are second-team All-Ohio honorees while Valley’s MJ Basham, Northwest’s Jay Jenkins, South Webster’s Jaren Lower, Lynchburg-Clay’s Trey Pitzer, Rock Hill’s Sam Simpson, Peebles’ Mason Sims and Ironton St. Joe’s Zachary Johnson earned second-team nods in Division III.
Chillicothe’s Ali Mathis earned a second-team All-Ohio selection in Division I while Bloom-Carroll’s Jordyn Adams is a first-team all-state honoree in Division II.
Also in Division II, Athens’ Ella Chapman, Marietta’a Katie Mannix, Unioto’s Ashtyn Miller and Jackson’s Mattie Walburn earned second-team selections.
In Division III, Minford’s Haley Knore, Rock Hill’s Brianna Reynolds, North Adams’ Laney Ruckel and Lynchburg-Clay’s Karlie Tipton are all second-team All-Ohio selections.
