The Southern Hills Athletic Conference has released its all-league soccer and volleyball teams — and a slew of familiar names headline the list.
Here’s a full look at those lists.
NOTE: The conference’s Player of the Year award in each sport will be announced at the league’s award banquet, scheduled for Oct. 31.
VOLLEYBALL
North Adams finished a perfect 13-0 in SHAC action, winning its third consecutive conference title. The Green Devils are represented on the all-league list by Lizzie Gill, Keetyn Hupp, Sierra Kendall and Brea Stout.
Meanwhile, Peebles finished 10-3 to lead the SHAC’s Division II. The Indians’ Summer Bird, Darby Mills and Avery Storer each earned all-conference honors.
Rounding out the SHAC’s all-league volleyball list is Fairfield’s Emma Fouch, Braylynn Haines and Faith Miller, Manchester’s Hannah Hobbs and Maggie Roberts, Fayetteville’s Lilly Nichols and Annie Murphy, Whiteoak’s Cora Akers and Lydia Carr, West Union’s Maddie Taylor, Ripley’s Brooke Sims, Eastern’s Sarah Clark, and Lynchburg-Clay’s Katie Young.
The conference’s Coach of the Year honor was earned by Peebles’ Annie Gustin.
GIRLS SOCCER
Representing the SHAC champion Eastern Warriors, who finished 4-0-1 in league play, is Bailey Dotson, Rylee Leonard, Torie Utter, Alyssa Perkins and Mary Litzinger.
Fairfield, whose only loss came to Eastern, is represented by Ella Newkirk, Cadence Saunders, Avery Teeters and Kennedy Zink.
The rest of the list is polished off by Lynchburg-Clay’s Natasha Davidson, Raelynn Ruble, Karlie Tipton and Philemina Toca, North Adams’ Harlee Brand, Ainsley Grooms and Laney Ruckel, Fayetteville’s Lilee Coffman and Ripley’s Riley Finn.
The league’s Coach of the Year is Eastern’s Dan Silvis.
BOYS SOCCER
Lynchburg-Clay won the SHAC with a pristine 7-0 mark in league play. The Mustangs were led by Nathan Brown, Andrew Cumberland, Noah Miller and Trey Pitzer all year long. Those names are included on the all-league list.
Fayetteville’s Jonas Jakeway and Ricky Lunan are also on the list, as well as North Adams’ Garrett Bunn, Cameron Campbell and Lane Wagner. Peebles’ Zane Porter, Cory Reed and Mason Sims are also all-league players while Fairfield’s Koben Zink, Reese Teeters and Brayden Zimmerman join the pack as well.
Rounding out the all-league boys soccer list is Ripley’s Dalton Hutchison, Eastern’s Christian Hoskins and Carter Woolard, and West Union’s Kevin Alverez.
The SHAC’s Coach of the Year is Lynchburg-Clay’s Jason West.
