CHILLICOTHE — Over the past four springs, there may not have been a player in the Scioto Valley Conference more valuable to her team than Kylee Kellough.
Huntington’s flame-throwing senior enjoyed yet another successful season this spring, leading her crew to a 12-10 record while posting nine wins, a 1.93 ERA and 124 strikeouts.
Because of those numbers, Kellough was named the SVC’s Player of the Year — a well-deserved honor after a magnificent career.
Westfall coach Lance Heath, who led the Mustangs to a fourth straight conference title, is the SVC’s Coach of the Year. Heath’s squad finished 12-2 in league play, is currently 22-5, and is playing in a district semifinal.
Joining Kellough with first-team honors is Westfall catcher Maddie Mullins and pitcher Olivia Dumm, Unioto outfielder Alexis Book and third baseman Avery Miller, Adena second baseman Kiera Williams, Southeastern pitcher Erin Richendollar, Paint Valley catcher Olivia Smith, and Zane Trace outfielder Lexi Scott.
Earning second-team honors are Southeastern’s Lexi Lockwood and Cidney Huff, Westfall’s Abbie Bickenheuser and Delana Landefeld, Adena’s Sydney Foglesong and Caelan Miner, Zane Trace’s Gracey McCullough, Huntington’s Allison Basye, and Unioto’s Hannah Hull.
Honorable mention selections are as follows: Adena’s Emily Jones and Emma Garrison, Huntington’s Haley Wilburn and Harmony Henneberger, Paint Valley’s Bella Stauffer and Haylee Vaughn, Piketon’s Laney Brown and Taylor Williams, Southeastern’s Audrey Scott and Kynsi Popp, Unioto’s Jade Zickafoose and Megan Miller, Westfall’s Leah Ragland and Makayla Cook, and Zane Trace’s Morgan Webb and Alexis Guffey.
