Thirty players from the Southern Hills Athletic Conference have now been honored with all-league status.
On the girls side, Eastern Brown and Peebles led the way with three selections while Fairfield, North Adams and Fayetteville were represented by two all-conference honorees.
The Warriors won their conference title outright while Peebles and Fairfield still have to play to decide a winner of the SHAC’s smaller division.
Sophomore Rylee Leonard, junior Mackenzie Gloff and senior Emma Brown represented the 22-2 Warriors. Meanwhile, Jacey Justice, Lilly Gray and Payton Johnson are the Indians’ representatives.
Seniors DeLaney Harper and Wylie Shipley are North Adams’ selections while Fairfield’s duo of Emma Fouch and Ella Newkirk. Fayetteville’s Anne Murphy and Olivia Crawford are also all-league selections.
Lynchburg-Clay’s Sierra Benney, Manchester’s Brooke Kennedy, Ripley’s Ayziah Williams and West Union’s Alexa Rowe were also all-league representatives.
Peebles’ Billie Jo Justice andNorth Adams’ Rob Davis were named the SHAC’s co-Coaches of the Year.
As for the boys, Eastern Brown’s Gold Ball trio of Trent Hundley, Luke Garrett and Colton Vaughn all represented the Warriors while North Adams had Jayden Hesler and Bransyn Copas each earn all-league status.
Peebles’ Oakley Burba and Dawson Mills, Fayetteville’s Jayden Bradshaw, Manchester’s Isaiah Scott, Ripley’s Gabe Fyffe and West Union’s Cameron Campbell are all-league selections while Whiteoak’s Bradley Ashbaugh and Landon Barnett, Fairfield’s Connor Priest and Lynchburg-Clay’s Ian Waits join the list as well.
Eastern’s Rob Beucler is the conference’s Coach of the Year.
The SHAC Players of the Year will be announced at the all-league banquet on March 7.
