SOSA Staff Report
GLENWOOD — It’s still very early this season but New Boston has looked like the team everybody thought it would this season.
The Tigers sit at 3-0 and are absolutely burying their opponents.
In a 102-75 win over Green last week, not a typo, senior Tanner Voiers was basically unstoppable. Voiers had his way with the Bobcats’ defense, scoring a season-high 26 points.
For his efforts, Voiers is SOSA’s 29th overall SOC Athlete of the Week, presented by The UPS Store.
Out of 1,245 total votes, Voiers won 580 or 46.6 percent. Oak Hill’s Chloe Chambers was second in the voting with 385, South Webster’s Bri Claxon was third with a count of 147, and Wheelersburg’s Matthew Miller was fourth at 133.
Voiers received three of the four votes from the guys at SOSA to win the award.
For his efforts, Voiers will receive a free t-shirt from The UPS Store, as well as meal coupons from the Schmidt Family Restaurant Group.
