CHILLICOTHE — One of the area’s most successful volleyball programs in recent years will be headed by one of the area’s most prolific coaches this coming fall.
Southeastern is expected to name Lori Koker its newest head coach, pending the Board of Education’s approval Monday.
Koker replaces Jimmy Hutton, who led the team to an overall record of 77-39 over the past five seasons.

Koker’s resume speaks for itself.
She’s spent head coaching stints at both Westfall and Zane Trace, where she compiled an overall record of 365-149. Between those two coaching stays, she led her teams to three SVC titles, multiple district championships and three consecutive regional crowns while with the Mustangs.
Most recently, Koker has worked as an assistant coach at Notre Dame — in 2018 — and at Huntington — in 2019. Both of those teams won district titles in Divisions III and IV, respectively.
Koker’s resume also includes three SVC Coach of the Year honors and five District 14 Coach of the Year selections.
