CHILLICOTHE — Unioto’s Nate Keiser didn’t miss a shot in this past weekend’s 45-40 win over Piketon.
And he didn’t miss his shot to win Athlete of the Week honors, either.
Keiser scored a career-high 17 points in the win over the Redstreaks and finished 7-for-7 from the floor, helping Unioto improve to 12-3.
Out of 3,084 public votes, Keiser accounted for 1,298 or 42.1 percent of the total. Southeastern’s Skylar Hice finished second in the voting with 1,107, Oak Hill’s Olivia Clarkson was third with a count of 330, Peebles’ Jacey Justice finished fourth at 193, and Adena’s Jadyn Smith was fifth with 156.
Keiser received three of the four votes from the guys at SOSA as well.
For his efforts, Keiser will receive a a free t-shirt thanks to Mile Tree Screen Printing and a free Wendy’s combo meal via Schmidt Family Restaurant Group.
