CHILLICOTHE — When Southeastern’s football program takes the field this coming fall, it’ll do so under the leadership of a familiar face.
Matt Queen has been approved as the Panthers’ newest head football coach, replacing Evan Gallaugher, who resigned on Dec. 11, 2019.
Queen served as the Panthers’ offensive line coach this past fall and has served as a head coach before, at Vinton County in the late 1990’s.
“Coach Queen is a very good coach and he’s helped me with a lot of things,” Southeastern’s Mikey Nusser said. “He’s been a big part of our success here at Southeastern and I think he’s a good fit because he knows the kids and he knows what we can do.”
The Panthers have won two of the last three Scioto Valley Conference titles and are coming off a season where they finished 11-1 and made a third straight playoff appearance.
