The Ohio High School Volleyball Coaches Association released its All-Ohio teams Monday morning and multiple athletes in SOSA’s coverage area received honors.
Wheelersburg, who plays in its first state semifinal on Thursday, led the way on the Division III list with senior Alli McQuay earning a spot on the first-team.
The 5-foot-11 outside hitter currently leads the Pirates in kills (240) and aces (40) alongside 182 digs, while head coach Allen Perry was tabbed as Division III Coach of the Year.
Joining McQuay on All-Ohio was Mallory Bergan and Kylee Barney, who both received honorable mention honors for the now 27-0 Pirates.
Also receiving honors in Division III was Southeastern’s Skylar Hice, who received a third-team spot after helping guide the Panthers to a Division III district final.
She finished the season as the team’s leader in kills (355) and digs (531) while serving up 35 aces for the 13-13 Panthers.
Westfall’s Kristin Phillips earned honorable mention honors in Division III after leading the Mustangs to a 20-5 record, including an SVC championship and a Division III district final appearance.
In Division II, Unioto’s Amber Cottrill earned a spot as honorable mention after the Shermans finished the season 16-8.
Wrapping up honors in the area was Portsmouth Clay’s Jaelyn Warnock, who was named to honorable mention in Division IV after the Panthers finished 15-9 including a Division IV sectional title.
