OPSWA releases Division III and IV boys basketball All-Ohio teams

The Division III and IV boys basketball All-Ohio teams were announced Tuesday by a statewide media panel.

COLUMBUS — The Division III and IV boys basketball All-Ohio teams were announced Tuesday by a statewide media panel. The teams were selected by members of the Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association.

Multiple athletes from the Southern Hills Athletic Conference, Southern Ohio Conference, Frontier Athletic Conference and Scioto Valley Conference were mentioned on the lists.

Receiving a first-team All-Ohio nod in Division III was Wheelersburg senior Tanner Holden, who led his Pirates to 26 wins and a regional final appearance. Oak Hill’s Mason Darby received a third-team All-Ohio nod after scoring 16 points per game.

Adena’s Zach Fout has earned honorable mention All-Ohio honors after leading the Warriors in scoring.

Eastern’s Michael Miller was a Special Mention selection alongside Huntington’s Elijah McCloskey, Western’s Lane Brewster and Piketon’s Alex Blanton.

Earning Honorable Mention All-Ohio accolades was Adena’s Zach Fout, who led the Warriors to their first district title in 39 years. Joining Fout on the honorable mention list was Wheelersburg’s J.J. Truitt, Eastern’s Evan Leist, Eastern Brown’s Marcus Hamilton, North Adams’ Elijah Young, West Union’s Bowan Tomlin and Oak Hill’s Chase Hammond.

In Division IV, South Webster’s Shiloah Blevins, Symmes Valley’s Jack Leith, Green’s Gage Sampson, New Boston’s Kyle Sexton and Peebles’ Weston Browning were all Special Mention honorees.

Earning Honorable Mention honors was Green’s Tanner Kimbler, East’s Will Shope, Fairfield’s Sam Buddelmyer and Whiteoak’s Hunter Ruckel.
